alternative replacement

alternative replacement

what's up guys. â keiko alingas here and thisvideo today is for my fellow macbook users. now what i'm using here is my 2011 macbookpro and it has served me extremely well over the past 3 years. â as you guys know, i blogwith it, i edit with it, and most importantly, i travel with it everywhere. â one major problemthat i used to encounter on a regular basis is constantly having to replace this guy. as you can see, the wear and tear that comeswith all the repeated coiling and uncoiling of apple's official magsafe power cablehas caused the protective coating to rip and the internal wires to tear. â and in additionto tearing, these magsafe power blocks also tend to get extremely hot, so much in factthat they've been known to burn out entirely.

to put things in perspective, in the 6 overallyears i’ve owned a macbook, i must have went through about 5 of these guys. â andat 80 bucks a pop, you can imagine how much they add up to. so when my last one went â awry, i decidedto change things up and do a little research to see if there are any third party macbookchargers out in the market. â and i'm sure much to apple's shugrin, there are. in my findings i went ahead and picked upthis guy... now it may look like a regular ac power adapter that you would use for mostpc laptops, but it also has a built-in magsafe

connector on the end of it. â whether thiscompany was able to pull it off with apples permission, is none of my concern. â all thatmatters to me, is that it works, and was extremely affordable. of the few third party options that i wasable to find out there, this proved to be the highest rated and most affordable oneat only about 20 bucks. it has an input of 100-240 volts and an outputrange of 16.5 - 18.5 volts, the equivalent of 85 watts. now when it comes to third party items, iknow there will be naysayers out there. â but for me personally, i still own an officialapple charger as my primary, but i went ahead

and picked a few of these up as spares. â twofor my house, one for my office, one for my backpack, etc. â that way, i'm not alwaysplugging and unplugging â the same power cable over and over again. granted, this thing does get hot after prolongeduse, but generally no hotter than the official apple power adapter itself. â  overall, i'vehad these for a few months now and they've lasted so far and do exactly what they'readvertised to do. â so if you're a macbook user, and are looking for a cheaper poweralternative, then i would definitely recommend this guy. for more information and direct purchase linksto this product, be sure to log onto our website
